Ivan Martinez Flores is an artist from Alamo, Texas whose work celebrates femininity and reflects on the tumultuous nature of the times we’re living in through sensibilities like the Rococo, Catholic imagery, & 20th century toys and childhood memorabilia. Flores graduated from the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley in December of 2023 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art and a minor in Mexican American Studies. In 2024, they were part of the first cohort of Flower Buds 956 at the Flowershop Art Studio in Brownsville, Texas as well as an Artist-in-Residence at Chateau D’Orquevaux in Champagne-Ardenne, France. In May 2025, Flores returned to the Flowershop Art Studio for a Fellowship and participated in a group exhibition.

Their oil paintings and color pencil drawings have been exhibited throughout Texas and in online publications. As a part-time library worker, Flores spends life surrounded by art and multiple sources of inspiration; like literature, music, film, and history.
